Rising Throne

A studio for things that are hard to picture

Rising Throne builds consumer software about money, value and ambition. We take numbers that are too large, too old or too risky to feel, and give them a shape you can explore.

What we make

A million dollars is a number until you see it as ten bricks of notes beside a person. A 1970 salary is a number until you see what it buys today. Leverage is a word until a practice position is liquidated in front of you, with nothing real lost.

That is the whole house. Each product takes one of those abstractions and turns it into an object, a comparison or a game, built with the craft of a consumer app and the rigour of a reference work.

The winged throne

The mark is made of 17 separate shapes, and our animations always assemble them in the same order. Step through it.

What we hold ourselves to

  • Every figure names its source

ValueThen shows the series behind every result and says N/A when the evidence runs out. Money Visualiser draws each note at the size its central bank publishes.

  • Play money stays play money

PaperXTrade and Venture Empire run on virtual funds only. There are no deposits, no withdrawals and no real-money purchases, and the disclaimer never leaves the screen.

  • What is yours stays with you

The Money Visualiser extension never sends prices, page content or addresses off your browser. Venture Empire keeps your progress on your device, with no account and no location tracking.

  • Made for every reader

Our products ship in up to seven languages, with numbers formatted the way you read them. Large text, reduced motion and screen readers are supported, not afterthoughts.

How we work

One source of truth, many surfaces

Money Visualiser’s phone app generates its catalog from the website’s source, and automated parity checks keep every currency and note size identical. ValueThen’s calculator, API, CLI and SDK all answer from the same released data.

Checked on real devices

Releases are walked through on actual phones and foldables, in every shipped language, at 200% text and with reduced motion on, before they are called ready.

Open where it helps

The ValueThen CLI and SDK are public on GitHub and npm, so developers can build on historical money data without a key or an account.
