Pick two places and one period, and see how prices changed in each, side by side, with both sources cited.

ValueThen can now put two places next to each other over identical dates. Choose the United States and the United Kingdom from 1913 to 2025, and the calculator returns the change in each, the annualised rate, and what that meant for purchasing power, with a link to the Bureau of Labor Statistics and Office for National Statistics series behind each figure.

The comparison reaches back as far as the evidence does. Medieval England and Sweden can be compared from 1300 to 1500 using Bank of England and Riksbank reconstructions. In those cases ValueThen compares price change only and makes no money or exchange-rate claim, because neither would be honest for the period.

When one place has no released series for a date, the result reads N/A rather than borrowing the other place’s number. Each side is resolved from its own approved source at exactly the same period.

Our collector game enters final device review on Android phones and foldables, with a full accessibility pass.

Venture Empire 0.2.1 is our release candidate. It has been reviewed on portrait Android phones and foldables in English and Turkish, at standard and 200% text sizes, with reduced motion and screen-reader semantics checked throughout.

The game ships with a 480-piece collection, 252 businesses across 22 sectors, 64 homes, 210 animal relationships, 140 patronage campaigns and four flagship legacy projects. Every completed item is written into a permanent Empire Completion ledger.

Venture Empire is offline-first. Progress stays on the device, saves can be moved between trusted devices as verified files, and there are no ads, no real-money purchases and no location collection.

PaperXTrade 0.1.3 reads numbers the way you do

Prices, balances and profit now follow your language’s number format, from $1,234.50 to $1.234,50.

Every visible number on the PaperXTrade desk now follows the reader’s locale. Grouping and decimal separators change with the language you choose, while the dollar sign stays put, because the desk runs on a single virtual currency.

The home page hero now moves in trading colours: the wave turns green as it rises and red as it falls. Reduced-motion settings are respected as before.

We also decided against regional English editions. The product is identical in every country, with virtual dollars, no broker, and no deposits or withdrawals, so one authoritative English page serves everyone better than near-duplicate copies.

The redesigned mobile app brings native 3D scenes, saved views, share cards and home-screen widgets.

Money Visualiser is coming to phones. The mobile app opens in the Gold Vault, lets you choose Simple or Finance and Crypto mode, and renders your amount as a native 3D scene that you can orbit, pinch and pan.

Our latest redesign reworks setup, comparison and settings around clearer pickers and quieter chrome. Scenes save on the device, any view becomes a share card, and widgets in three sizes keep a conversion on your home screen.

The app’s catalog is generated from the website’s own source, and parity tests confirm that every currency, denomination and note dimension matches. We will share store dates when submission opens.

ValueThen’s purchasing-power API, now from your terminal

An open-source CLI and SDK on npm. No API key, no sign-up and no dependencies.

Run
npx valuethen convert 100 USD 1970
and the answer comes back with the series it was computed from. The valuethen package on npm wraps the free ValueThen API in a command-line tool and a small JavaScript SDK.

The SDK covers single conversions, full annual series, coverage lookups and batches of up to 100 conversions with an idempotency key, so a retry never double-counts. Errors are typed: ask for a year outside a currency’s coverage and you get the valid range back.

For AI assistants there is an MCP server at api.valuethen.com/mcp and an agent skill, so an assistant can convert historical amounts and name the series it used.

The source is public on GitHub under the Rising Throne organisation.
